High potency antioxidant (Vitamin C) protects and helps combat signs of ageing. Vitamin A reduces fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating the production of new skin cells, collagen, and hyaluronic acid, and by inhibiting the production of enzymes that degrade collagen and elastin. The various components in Acai Berry work to reduce the appearance of ageing on skin.

How does it work?
Marine Collagen Our collagen peptides are extracted through a revolutionary hydrolysis process, without any trace of chemical residue. The result is a natural, odourless, colourless and tasteless product with an extremely high degree of purity as compared to other forms of collagen. The quantity of collagen or lack of it in skin determines its appearance. The amount of collagen proteins gradually decreases with age leading to appearance of wrinkles but the youthfulness of skin can be restored through increased level of collagen, thanks to modern science. Marine Collagen proteins are obtained from various marine sources of saltwater algae like padina and laminaria as well as cod fish and deep sea fish. This is one of the best environmentally-friendly products because they are made from unwanted fish parts. Marine Collagen proteins are considered to be of greater quality compared to animal collagen mainly because they don’t lead to substantial environmental pollution. Marine Collagen proteins help in the maintenance of your skin’s strength and its elasticity through the initiation of fresh collagen synthesis in the underlying layers. The increase in the density of collagen fibres leads to softening of appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) – Retinyl Palmitate converts into retinol (or vitamin A), which in turn is converted into retinoic acid by specialised enzymes in the skin. It is easily absorbed by the skin and once it is there is converted into retinol. This unique feature renders Retinyl Palmitate gentler than applying retinol directly and, therefore, minimising the risk of skin irritation. These tiny molecules have the ability to penetrate the outer layers of the skin and work to repair the lower layers where collagen and elastin reside. Retinoic acid facilitates communication between cells, encouraging ageing cells to continue their renewal process, and regenerate collagen and elastin to prevent the appearance of ageing skin, wrinkles, and fine lines. It is also effective at producing new, healthy skin cells to replace skin previously damaged by environmental factors. Retinyl Palmitate is considered an exfoliator (albeit more gentle than pure retinol), and its effect of repeatedly shedding the upper dermal layer forces the skin to produce new cells. For acne prone skin, Vitamin A decongests pores by opening up clogged follicles, clearing out the follicular debris, and preventing the formation of new clogs. In anti-ageing skin care, Vitamin A reduces fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating the production of new skin cells, collagen, and hyaluronic acid, and by inhibiting the production of enzymes that degrade collagen and elastin.
Acai Berry – This is an antioxidant powerhouse. Acai Berry helps protect the skin from environmental aggressors and reduce the appearance of ageing. It also has a lot of fatty acids that help the skin look tight and, as well as vitamins and minerals key for protecting. Acai Berry protects skin from environmental stressors, keeping it looking healthy and glowing. It contains omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids—a smorgasbord of components that help skin appear youthful and supple. Fatty acids keep revive the look of dry, dull skin.
Silk Peptide – Silk Peptide (also known as Sericin) is one of the best at reducing fine lines and other signs of ageing. It contains properties which allow it to rejuvenate skin tone, reduce wrinkles and hydrate skin tissues to protect from free radicals. All these benefits come from the unique properties of the peptide due to their special water binding characteristics. The primary reason why silk peptides are great for anti-ageing skin care is the large amounts of hydroxyl amino they contain which are known for their important role in regulating moisture content of the skin and water binding process. Silk Peptides have very powerful properties for preventing wrinkles and fine lines because they are light and easily penetrate the skin layer thanks to their affinity for bonding with adhering-proteins. Clinical studies show Silk Peptides have many anti-oxidant properties that help to prevent wrinkling. Finally, because of their high molecular weight, Silk Peptides leave behind semi-occlusive films that remain on the surface to protect the skin. This has the added benefit of increasing skin permeability which further increases the skin’s resistance to damage and fine lines.
Shea Butter – Shea butter is a solid fatty oil that is derived from the nuts of the Karite trees (also known as Mangifolia), predominantly found in Africa. The Karite tree bears the fruits and the nuts inside the fruits contain shea butter. The nuts are then crushed, boiled, and manipulated in order to extract a light-coloured fat, commonly called shea butter. Since it is extracted manually, it is able to retain its vitamins, minerals and other natural properties. Shea butter is known for its healing properties that can be attributed to the presence of several fatty acids and plant sterols such as oleic, palmitic, stearic and linolenic acids. It contains plant antioxidants, such as vitamins A and E. Vitamins A and E protect the cells from free radicals and environmental damage, preventing skin damage from ultraviolet radiation. Shea butter has several derivatives of cinnamic acid that exhibit anti-inflammatory properties. It is also considered the best skin care substance for winter and after-sun care as it provides the extra moisture, nutrients and protection needed by your skin during the cold season and summer.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) The antioxidant properties of vitamin C and its role in collagen synthesis make vitamin C a vital molecule for skin health. Ascorbic acid has the most skin-related research of any form of vitamin C. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that slows the rate of free-radical damage. Free radicals are unstable molecules that damage collagen and cause skin dryness, fine lines and wrinkles. New research shows that ascorbic acid not only neutralises free radicals, but also reverses DNA damage.
How do I apply it?
