Dermal fillers are substances/gels injected beneath the skin’s surface to smooth wrinkles and add volume. The products are composed of stabilised hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in the skin cells. It works by drawing in water and augmenting the skin, thus reducing the wrinkle treated. It is by no means permanent and is biodegradable.

Yes. We use only natural products, thus eliminating the risk of eliciting allergic reactions. Even people with food sensitivities can receive these fillers safely. Our products have been injectable beauty treatments for over two decades with an excellent safety record.

We use the newest, most advanced non-animal-based form of hyaluronic acid dermal filler on the market today – Juvederm, Restylane and Teosyal.

Today’s dermal fillers have come a long way since the first generation of collagen injections. Advanced injection techniques, coupled with the use of micro-cannula (blunt needle) and improved product safety, means that significant side effects are extremely uncommon but may include:
• Injection-related reactions: these reactions may include redness at the injection site immediately after the treatment.
• Bruising: occasionally, bruising can occur. However, using a micro-cannula (blunt needle) dramatically reduces the risk of bruising.
• Contour irregularities can and do occasionally occur. Massaging can usually smooth out any ‘lumpiness’; however, the filler can be easily and rapidly dissolved if persistent.
• Infection – as with all injections, this procedure risks infection. The syringe is sterile and standard precautions associated with injectable materials are taken.

Dr Bong is known as ‘Dr Pain-Free Botox’ because his Botox injection is virtually pain-free. Dr Bong uses the world’s finest hypodermic needle to inject soft tissue filler in this area. Our patients describe the discomfort as equivalent to ‘squeezing a spot’.

If you wish, a topical numbing cream may be applied to the area before the treatment. Alternatively, local anaesthetics may be injected into the area. The soft tissue filler contains an anaesthetics agent, which takes effect within seconds of it being injected.

Unfortunately, if appointments are cancelled or rescheduled at short notice, or if you do not attend an appointment, we cannot allocate your appointment slot to someone else; however, we still have overheads and staff salaries to pay. Please note for all patients, a £50 fee will be charged if you cancel or reschedule ANY appointment (including appointments which do not require an upfront deposit, such as a ‘check-up’ or review appointment) less than 48 hours before the appointment time. Patients who have pre-purchased a course of treatment will forfeit one of the treatments instead of paying this fee.

Late arrival to your appointment may result in reduced treatment time or the forfeiting of the appointment. We will endeavour to ensure that your appointment runs on time. However, for reasons beyond our control, we may need to cancel or postpone your appointment at short notice. In this unlikely event, we will try to contact you in advance. We do not offer compensation if we cancel or postpone your appointment.

Patients should be aware that there may be reasons beyond our control, meaning that the text message does not reach them. Patients should diarise themselves when making follow-up appointments and not rely solely on the text message from the clinic as a reminder.
