Terms and Conditions

Essence Medical Cosmetic Clinic strives to provide outstanding service at competitive prices. Your consultation and treatment is carried out personally by one of Europe’s most sought-after cosmetic doctors, Dr Kieren Bong.

We respect that your time is valuable, and we appreciate that you understand ours is too. Unfortunately, if appointments are cancelled or rescheduled at short notice, or if you do not attend an appointment, we cannot allocate your appointment slot to someone else; however, we still have overheads and staff salaries to pay.

Booking an appointment

All patients are required to provide credit/debit card details, telephone number and email to secure an appointment.

If you are a new patient, a booking fee will be taken at the point of making your appointment (see below for details)

We assure you that all information will be treated as confidential and protected per Data Protection legislation. Your information will not be shared with third parties without your written consent.

Booking fees for new patients

New patients are charged a one-off £50 fee for all consultations. This is fully redeemable against your treatment, provided you schedule to have a procedure carried out within 3 months of your consultation date. It will not be redeemable otherwise. Please also note that this booking fee is NOT refundable if you are late for or fail to attend your appointment without giving 48 hours’ notice. Equally, this fee will NOT be refunded to you should you choose not to go ahead with the treatment or are deemed unsuitable for the procedure.

New patients are required to make an initial appointment for a consultation and assessment and then a separate appointment (if they are suitable for and wish to proceed with) for a procedure. Unless there has been an arrangement made with the clinic otherwise (see below), no treatment will be provided on your first visit.

Should you wish to have Botox or dermal filler treatment on the same day as your consultation, we require a booking fee of £150 to be paid. This is because a longer appointment will be allocated for you. Please note that this booking fee is NOT refundable and only redeemable against your treatment during the same visit as your consultation. In addition, it is not refundable if you are late for or fail to attend your appointment without giving 48 hours’ notice.

Booking fees for existing patients

This is not required for existing patients.

You will be asked to provide us with your credit/debit card details when booking your appointment. This is your confirmation of your commitment to attend your appointment. Whilst you are not required to pay any upfront booking fee to secure an appointment, our clinic’s cancellation/late arrival rules remain applicable.

Booking fee for Ultrasound Facial

We require a nominal deposit of £50 to book an appointment for our Ultrasound Facial. This deposit is non-refundable because an external skin therapist is being brought in specially to carry out the procedure for you. This deposit will be redeemed against your Ultrasound Facial treatment and is not transferrable.

Cancellation, failure to arrive for appointments and late arrival

Please note for all patients, a £50 fee will be charged if you cancel or reschedule ANY appointment (including appointments which do not require an upfront deposit, such as a ‘check-up’ or review appointment) less than 48 hours before the appointment time. Patients who have pre-purchased a course of treatment will forfeit one of the treatments instead of paying this fee.

Late arrival to your appointment may result in reduced treatment time or the forfeiting of the appointment. We will endeavour to ensure that your appointment runs on time. However, for reasons beyond our control, we may need to cancel or postpone your appointment at short notice. In this unlikely event, we will try to contact you in advance. We do not offer compensation if we cancel or postpone your appointment.

Please note that these Terms and Conditions are applicable in ALL circumstances, including COVID-19-related situations.

Reminder text messages

To help our patients minimise the chance of losing their deposit or pre-paid treatments, we issue text reminders a minimum of 48 hours ahead of appointments. Patients should be aware that there may be reasons beyond our control, meaning that the text message does not reach them. Patients should diarise themselves when making follow-up appointments and not rely solely on the text message from the clinic as a reminder.

Notifying the clinic regarding cancellation or request to reschedule

Please note that cancellations can only be made during our opening hours by telephoning our clinic at 0141-8949098. Out-of-hours emails or voice messages will not be accepted.

Children

We do not treat children or young adults under the age of 18. Please do not bring children to the clinic unless they are old enough to be left unsupervised. Children will not be allowed to accompany you into the treatment rooms.

Payment

If you are a new patient, a booking fee will be taken at the point of making your appointment.

Payment is taken, in full, at the time of treatment. In some circumstances, a discretionary deposit may be required for particular treatments. You will be advised of this as part of the booking process.

We accept cash or major credit and debit cards.

Refunds

Fees charged for treatment are for the delivery of a treatment and the accompanying service, which is inclusive of the following:

  • consultation and assessment
  • provision of information and advice
  • safe treatment with evidence-based products and techniques
  • follow-up appointments (if applicable), aftercare advice and support as appropriate

Whilst we undertake to provide excellent service, factual, honest and ethical advice alongside safe, expert treatment in experienced hands using only the best products, we cannot guarantee your results will meet your expectations. This reflects that every patient has a different physiology unique to them, and their response to a procedure/treatment will be unique to them. As a result, we cannot offer refunds if treatment results do not accord with a patient’s expectations.
